You can also look for a book by Nolo Press concerning collecting judgments.

However, if the person you have a judgment against has 9 judgments against them, the other 9 creditors are probably going to be doing the same types of things you will be able to do. If they "beat you to the punch" in any one method of enforcing your judgment, they will get whatever assets the debtor has before you do. The good news is that judgments in California are good for ten years and interest accrues on those judgments at the rate of 10% per per annum from date of entry until paid. The judgment can be renewed for additional ten year periods indefinitely, so long as the renewal is requested before the expiration of each ten year period.
