Legal Question in Consumer Law in California
Photography Contract
Fiance & I are about to contract for photography service for our wedding. Photographer wants 50% at booking, balance 10 days prior to the event. Is it legal in California to charge 100% up-front, before services are rendered?

Re: Photography Contract
Yes, they can charge the money up front. You need to read the contract carefully regarding cancellation charges. If you are uncomfortable with their policy, shop around. My photographer at my wedding wanted the money for the time at the wedding up front, but we paid for the pictures we ordered after.
