Legal Question in Consumer Law in California

potential causes of action

If i hire a company that is only supposed to take messages for me but on the last occasion they decided to pass out legal advice and tell the person leaving the message that i should be reported to various government agencies..what can i sue them for. i hired them to just take messages and nothing else and they did this to me and now these government agencies have sent cease and desist letters to me that i am dealing. What can i sue the message company for for doing something that they were not supposed to do?

Re: potential causes of action

You (conveniently) left out what exactly it was they said, why they think you should be reported to government agencies, the names of the agencies, what the letters said, and why you think whatever it was they said constituted "legal advice." More to the point, how are you going to prove in court what this person or company allegedly said? And what are your damages?
