Legal Question in Consumer Law in California

Any right to protect customer?

I have a question regarding my customer rights. My car broke and was towed to the repair shop on 08/19/2005 and was fixed after about a week. Then, I left the country for about 3 weeks and returned to the US on 09/29/05. Within this period, my car parks in the undercover garage for the whole period and didnt start until the day I was back. I returned to the US on 09/29/05 and drove my car. Two days later, my car broke again with an uncertain circumstance. My car was towed to the same repair shop on 10/08/05, and asked for the check and estimate. The repair shop didnt respond to my inquiry in a reasonable time frame. They didnt give me any information related to my car status or any estimate. I have called many times to ask for the information, but they simply denied my request and asked me to wait. I have been waiting and continuously to wait for their reply as of todays date 10/26/05. I feel very frustrated and would like to know if there is any right to protect me against this unfair situation.

Could you please tell me if there is any government agency could possibly relate to this kind of case? And what should I do to protect my right? Your advice is very much appreciated. Thank you very much.

Re: Any right to protect customer?

if you can provide us with more facts on what was initially wrong with your vehicle, and why you feel the shop is now wrongfully holding it without answers, we can further assist or direct you legally from there.
