Question on Car accident caused by a rental truck driven by an authorized driver
I rented a truck from Budget Truck Rental. I employed some movers to
drive the truck and load the goods. I also added the movers on the
contract as additional drivers. I took basic insurance that covers
damages only to the truck and not to third party property.
One of the movers, while driving the truck, got involved in an accident
and hit another car. A police report was filed and my details and the
drivers details were noted.
Question - Who is responsible for the damage to the car? Me or
the driver who hit the car?
