Legal Question in Consumer Law in California

Receipt altered

I received a shipment from a major shipping company. They damaged my property and I filed a claim. The claim was denied based upon my name being on the receipt in the box that states, ''Received Shipment in Good Condition.'' However, I didn't put my name in that box and I have the original receipt to prove it.
