Legal Question in Consumer Law in California

Recently I attempted to purchase a vehicle, I had low hopes due to my young credit. The establishment I decided to go to was fairly pushy but that's expected. The first issue came up when filling out the application when he asked me to put a higher # for my income, he said his calculations said that's how much I would make this year. It wasn't until later I realized that was more than I'd make. In order to get the sale the salesman told me he'd fill the tank and pay for my first month of insurance, neither of which got done. They did approve me and promised everything would go through, I even said "is there any doubt this will go through because I don't want to put money down on insurance if it's going to be canceled, they assured me it was all ok. Long story short I went home with the truck, loved it, tried calling the salesman about the two broken promises to no answer. 10 days later I received a letter saying they had recinded the offer. No calls, not even a number on the letter. Even longer story short they tried to suggest a cheaper car and I refused and told them I wanted my trade in back and they complied. Since then I have received refusal of credit from 15-20 lenders. In my eyes they should have realized after 5-10 lenders that I was not financing material, my credit has suffered due to the excessive inquiries and I feel that I am owed something. Any thoughts? I live in California.

I don't see what harm you have suffered. It sounds like your credit was already bad to begin with and I'm not hearing anything that would entitle you to financial compensation.
