Legal Question in Consumer Law in California

I recently bought a car in January a 2006 scion tc. When I bought the car i knew it was salvaged but was never told that i might have any problems with it. Nine months later the axle broke while I was driving on the freeway putting my life at risk and about 2000 dollars worth of damage on the car. The axle also broke on the side that it had originally been crashed on. Can I sue the guy for the damage and for failure of informing me to check the car. He didn't tell me until after the accident that he only fixed the exterior, and if I sued what are my possibilities of wining since it was salvaged.

When you buy a salvaged vehicle, you assume all risks of it not being right.
