Legal Question in Consumer Law in California
I recently had my computer serviced at Fry's electronics. Not only did it take them a month, I lost all my bookmarks in my web browser, some of them related to my occupation and researching and printing certain files needed for my patients. Do I have any recourse?
I was promised verbally my computer would be assigned a tech in 3-5 days, it took 2 weeks and another 2 weeks to have it restored. Mind you I can no longer use this computer, even with all the software upgrades I installed. Thanks for your input, Michelle R

I think that is always a risk when you take your computer in. If your loss was a significant enough, an attorney may represent you on an hourly billable basis.
