Legal Question in Consumer Law in California
I recently ordered a financial solution program via phone and gave my debit card number. I decided I could not afford the program and called them to request a return authorization number. The person I spoke to convinced me to get an extension and look into the material a little more, promising I could call back and get another extension in 2 weeks if I needed more time. I lost track of time and missed the 2 week deadline, so they took the first installment out of my account. I called to ask for a return authorization number so I could return the package even if they kept the money. They refused, so I left a message for a supervisor. She left me a message saying there was nothing she could do becuase I missed the deadline. This is going to be a great financial hardship for me. I know it was my fault for missing the deadlinem, but do I have any recourse?
