Legal Question in Consumer Law in California
I was recently in a restaurant, the waitstaff drank on my tab without my consent and automatically added gratuity on a party of one, I have already contacted the owner but it seem that I am getting the run around. My bill was $200 should I persue this legally.

If you paid by credit card, dispute the charge with the credit card company. They will reverse the charge temporarily, investigate, and if your charges are proven, they will reverse or adjust the charge permenantly. You should also call the police and report credit card fraud. If you paid in cash, you need to pay a lot more attention to your bill at restaurants and deal with the issue before you pay.
