Legal Question in Consumer Law in California
Refund
I paid for a Boot camp that was advertised to take place at a gym one mile from my home. The session included 36 classes. After 7 classes I was contacted by the instructors wife that the remaining two classes that week would be cancelled as they needed to move locations. I promptly told them their new location which was now about 15 minutes away would not work for me. Ater much run around I was told I would not get a refund for the remaining classes I had pad for. If they advertised this class at a certain gym and then moved it without any notice what are my rights? I also hae proof of their advertisements.

Re: Refund
You probably have a right to a refund. However, you'll have to check the written contract (assuming you had one) to be sure you did not consent to having the class take place at other locations.
Consider small claims court. These people may have violated specific sections of the CA civil code covering pre-paid fitness-related services.
