Rental Rights

Rented a storage unit, left $100 cash deposit, and when next day concluded unit was not needed, requested my $100 back, but the company would only return $60 of it. Is this legal? Don't I legally get 3 days to break a contract without penalty?

No, you do not get 3 days. You dont get any time to cancel. you are lucky to have gotten the $60.
