Legal Question in Consumer Law in California
I rented a car for a friend who was to return it 10 days ago and has not returned the vehicle. What are the options?

Contact me directly. I have a bridge for sale that I'm sure you'd be interested in. Or perhaps you'd like some swamp land in Florida, or beachfront property in Arizona?
Seriously, though, do you even know where the car is? If so, you should go get it with a police escort. Tell the police the situation and that you need a "civil standby" to get the car.
If you don't even know where the "friend" and car are, you have to bite the bullet, tell the rental car company what happened and have them report it stolen. Then hope your auto insurance covers it, or you took the rental car company's insurance.
