Legal Question in Consumer Law in California
repo of a car
A friend of mine is about to have her car repo'd. If she doesnt turn it in right away the company threatened to sue. They said they would be felony charges. Is this true? Can they leagally threaten her like that. Please help.

They can sue her civilly for the car. I dont believe they can have criminal charges filed for her failure to turn in the car. However, that is a pretty standard threat.
