Legal Question in Consumer Law in California
residential remodel
we have been presented with a final bill for our kitchen remodel. There are mistakes on the invoice of about $1,200 and there are still a 2 or 3 minor details to be completed on the project. How much money can I withhold on the final payment and how many days do I have to pay the bill?

Re: residential remodel
Talk to the contractor. You should not pay the bill if there are things that need to be completed AND mistakes on the bill. Sit down with the contractor, explain the mistakes and tell him what needs to be finished. This is an area where you need to communicate with the contractor or someone will end up suing someone else. Not worth it.
