Legal Question in Consumer Law in California

Can I return my wedding ring because the setting is different than what I wanted? We designed it and the band width is off by 1 mm. This was only a verbal agreement and there is no paperwork from the jewelry store of ring specs. They are telling me that it is a custom piece and all sales are final.

You may ask to see the specs they wrote down, but they probably won't show them to you. You're between a diamond and a hard place. The jeweler should be willing to accommodate you in some way. If not, you could file a lawsuit (small claims if under $7500), and hash it out in court, especially if they didn't follow the specs.
