Legal Question in Consumer Law in California

What are my rights concering,a bad prosthetic leg.

On 2-19-01 I had a artificial leg made.I had many problems during the process.Since then I have not been able to wear,a dress because the leg looks, so bad.When i walk it kicks out to the left, what are my rights.As they say my warrenty was good for only 3mos. I called them today 6-28-01 Beause the foot is making a noise like it is loose. The leg cost $5,506.20 I think it should last at least a few years. In 1980 I had one made for about $2,500.00 and i wore it for 9 years. And this one is suppose to be a better one.
