Scammed out of $15,000.00 on a Harley Davidson on EBAY

My husband purchased what was advertised as a 2005 H. Davidson in May,05 on Ebay. After speaking with the company in Redding,Ca several times and seeing several pic's, we purchased the vehicle. It was shipped by truck to Illinois. Upon the arrival, the bike would not start. After 3 days on a charger it ran for 2 hours and quit. the bike was towed to a dealership and because of a large backlog, was not looked at for 4 weeks. After they looked at it they said in their words ''it's a death trap'' Fuel tank leaking and falling off, oil tank leaking, electrical is wired backwards and too many other things to mention. Total repairs $4,000.00. The title arrived 1 week later only to show it as a 2001. We called the company and the owner said that it was a mistake and that it was a 2001. When told about the problems with the bike, they said they would not pay to have it fixed and they would not let us return the bike even though we bought it with the understanding that it was a 2005. They said go ahead and sue us. They said there was nothing we could do to them from Illinois, and that it would cost us even more to go to California to file. I do not know what the laws are regarding internet purchases. We are willing to hire a CA attorney.Help
