Second-party contract
I co-signed for a cell phone for my son while he was still a minor. At the completion of this contract, he was an adult but the phone (bill) was still in my name.
He 'lost' the phone, and I tried to cancel the service, but was informed he signed a contract for another year.
I have requested a copy of this contract, but was told by the company that ''it is outside thier control'' to provide me with this information.
My son says he never signed a contact.
The company expects me to continue paying for a service we no longer can use. Do I have any legal recourse? (And shouldn't I be entitled to a copy of a contract which I am a party to?)

You are entitled to the contract. Tell the company that if they do not send you a copy, that when they sue, you will file a countersuit. In the meantime, contact the Federal Trade Commission and the State Public Utility commission with this problem.

you absolutely have rights here and are entitled to see contract verification by this cell phone company, based on the facts you have submitted so far. if you would like further legal assistance and/or representation in this matter, please email directly with more facts and how you might like to proceed. this company sounds very "shady" and unethical.
