Legal Question in Consumer Law in California
I'm selling my car. Someone contacted me and is willing to buy my car but he is in the middle of a divorce and doesn't want to give half of his assets to his soon to be ex-wife. He asked me if it's ok to leave my name under the registration for 90days, after that he will buy the car and transfer the ownership to him.
I haven't got a lot of attention for my car, I'm willing to take the risk. What do you think ? Can we have a contract between him and me that will protect me in case he has an accident or doing bad things with it ?

Why would you want to take the risk for someone you don't know? Keep the car listed for sale, tell him to come back in 90 days and if you haven't sold it by then, he can buy it. Do not give him the car and keep it under your name. You are just inviting disaster.
