Legal Question in Consumer Law in California
No Show bill
I was billed by a doctor for a missed appointment. I did't sign anything signifying that I was aware that I would be charged if I missed this appointment. When I asked if this was something that I signed, I was told no, I didn't sign anything regarding missing a doctors appointment. Am I legally obligated to pay this charge?

Re: No Show bill
Unless you were informed beforehand either in writing or by word of mouth you are not liable. To be on the safe side, check with your hmo or ins. co. if you have coverage.
