Legal Question in Consumer Law in California
Slander
I called the customer service dept of a large company. I wanted to dispute a fee whith which I did not agree.
I asked to speak to someone in authority who could waive the fee. She initially said no but when I politely pressed her on the matter she said that ''since you sound like your begging me, I'll waive the fee.'' She said this in the presence of other support staff.
As you can imagine I am very disturbed with her choice of language. I believe all support calls are logged.
Should I let my anger subside and forget about it or should I pursue the matter?

Re: Slander
Let it go and be thankful the fee is waived. You might consider taking your business elsewhere, though, if it's that important.
