Legal Question in Consumer Law in California

Small Claims Question

I am being sued in small claims court over a guitar I sold to an indivdual. I fully disclosed the condition of the instrument, and all that I knew was wrong with it and provided photos. This transaction took place on EBay. I also offered more photos if the buyer wanted them. He did not request any more information. Now the buyer is sueing me because he says the guitar was not as I claimed it to be and was badly damaged. He filed this claim in acourt thats 400 miles from where I am. I realize that they--name removed--t allow attorney's in small claims court but I--name removed--t know what recourse I have. What can I do?
