Legal Question in Consumer Law in California

small claims

I was thinking about suing an hmo

provider in small claims but now I see their headquarters is 900 miles away and in a different county.

How does this impact my situation?

Thank you.

Re: small claims

The suit can be heard in the county where you live. You have to check with the secretary of state and get the address of the agent for service of the HMO. Go to ss.ca.gov
