Legal Question in Consumer Law in California
I was sold a car from a well known car dealership, four months ago, who never had the title from the previous owner. The dealer is trying to get the paperwork signed by the previous owner to release title, but the previous owner has left the country. I'm trying to pay for the annual registration, but the DMV will not give me the tags as the car is still titled to the original owner. What can I do?
