Legal Question in Consumer Law in California
I was sold a used car that has some obvious years worth of rust, I just recently repaired it for 1300 because they had to cut out some rust and weld in new metal, not to mention the floorboard is rusting. My car is a 2002 and also had the check engine light turn on the day I drove it home, had it recently checked and it was for a recalled part that expired in 2010. So once again they just turned off the check engine light and sold me the car, is there anything I can do? My floorboard gets soaked on rainy days just from the under splash while driving.

Unless they made any specific warranties or promises or representations, the only thing you can do is fix it.... it is a 12 year old car that will have inherent problems
