Legal Question in Consumer Law in California
Can a store change a price after you have ordered a product from them.
I put a bed on lay a way at a furniture store and they had to special order it because they did not have it in stock. The total price was $570 and I paid $270. They called me when the bed came in and told me that the sales person had made a mistake and the bed cost them more then $570 and that I would have to pick out another bed or pay more for the one that I already have a receipt of sale for $570. Can the store legally raise the sale price after they have all ready sold it to me for a lower price?
