We hired a moving company in July. One of their employees stole our daugthter's cell phone and ran up a huge bill. Who is responsible for this the employee or the company?

Re: Theft by a moving company
Both.
The employee is responsible because he did the wrongful act.
The employer is responsible because the employee gained access to your daughter's cell phone during the course and scope of his employment.
I'm in the bay area; call if you have questions.
Good luck!
