Legal Question in Consumer Law in California
Thinking that I would have access to free solar energy, a company installed solar panels this month on my house and now I am unable to use them. For one, the electricity company claims they've met the "metering cap" and are not allowing the new consumers seeking natural energy to connect. The company installing the panels never, at anytime during our discussion informed me that I would have these difficulties. Since the Federal Government provide these huge incentives to go solar (10,000.00) to pay off for part of the system, I felt that this was a great deal. Now I feel cheated. I have what I though was a great investment of approximately 23,000 dollars to pay plus interest. This does not include the government incentive. Any advice?

Try the state Public Utilities Commission for starters. If that doesn't work, I'm sure there are environmental attorneys who would be willing to help you out.
