Legal Question in Consumer Law in California

Truck extended warranty

I purchased a 2001 gmc truck with a lift kit already installed on it from a local dealership. I also purchased an extended drivetrain warranty on the same vehicle through the dealership i purchased the truck from. Only four months later, something has gone wrong in the transfer case of the truck, something supposed to be covered be the extended warranty. The car dealership is now telling me the warranty company will not cover the transfer case, because the truck is lifted. I asked the dealership at the time of purchase of the warranty if the lift kit would affect the warranty, and they said no. Hope you can clear this up for me, are they responsible for the parts and labor, or am I?

Re: Truck extended warranty

Can you prove that they said it would not affect the warranty? If not, the terms of the warranty apply and you will probably be out of luck. You could try suing the dealership, but I dont think you would win.
