Legal Question in Consumer Law in California
Unauthorized credit check
Very simple: A credit report was run on me without my authorization and I was denied credit. I had a bankruptcy (Chapter 13) in 1996 and have had excellent credit since then. How long will the denial of credit be on my credit report? I have contacted the business who ran the report without my authorization and they have indicated they are not able to remove the inquiry from my record.
Thank you

They are able to remove it. You can also sue them.
