Legal Question in Consumer Law in California
An Unlicensed Auto Repair/Body shop has my car after it was towed there following an accident. The owner will not release the car, saying I owe him $1000.00 in storage fees. I was not aware of storage fees and am not having the shop do the repairs.
How should I proceed?...Small Claims Court?

You should have me write a quick letter letting the owner know what he is doing is illegal, so you can claim additional damages. Send me an email if interested.
