Legal Question in Consumer Law in California
Warranty on house resurfacing
About 9 years ago I paid $9,000 to have my home 's exterior coated with a new miracle asphalt looking material called Tex Cote. The surface is cracking in multiple areas. We were told that the coating was Guaranteed for as long as we owned our house. The original contractor that did the job is out of business, but the ''Tex Cote'' surfacing is still selling their product.
My question is : Does the manufacturer of the Tex Cote have to honor oue warranty since the original company we did business with is no longer around?

I remember the commercials. Do you have the original paperwork still? You could try writing to the manufacturer and seeing what, if any, response you get.
