Legal Question in Consumer Law in California

Is the warranty on this 2nd engine still in effect after I sign claim release?

I bought a remanufacturerd engine from a well know CA auto parts company. I also bought an extended warranty. 11 mos later and only 300 miles on this new engine, it broke. Engine was returned to manufacturer, auto parts company gave me another new engine and filed a claim on my behalf for mechanic bill for taking broken engine out and putting replacement in. Check for mechanic has come in but now they want me to sign a release. Release has a statement saying'' It is understood and agreed that this is full and final release, in full compromise settlement of all claims of every nature and kind whatsoever, and releases all calims whether known or unknown, suspected or unsuspected.''

If I sign this does this release them of liability if the new replacement engine breaks too Is my original extended warranty I purchased from them still good for this new engine?
