Legal Question in Consumer Law in California
Weight-fees from Nissan Dealer
I have just purchased a 2006 Nissan Frontier in May. Lately, the same dealer where I purchased the vehicle from is sending me a bill for $72 demanding me to pay for something they called the ''Weight-fees'' needed to register my new truck, and threatened to send it to collection if I don't pay within 2 weeks. I did some researches and find that this fee only applies to commercial vehicle and not for individual uses. Please let me know what my rights are. I once and for all want to shut them up. Are there legal matters I can pursue if they decided to send to collections. It's not much, but to me what's right is right.
Thanks for your time.

That's interesting. Have they sent you any paperwork on that? If so, feel free to email or fax it to my office. I would like to take a look at it.
