Legal Question in Consumer Law in California

if I were to win a suit against another party based on a promissory note, what method would I collect the money, especially since he isn't paying now.

There are many methods of collection once you have a judgment, including wage garnishment, levy on bank account and liening real property. It depends on the debtor.
