Legal Question in Consumer Law in California
The Wrong Dress
I purchased a wedding dress last January. When I recieved it the woman charged my credit card for more than specified on the receipt and later I found out the dress is not the one I ordered. The credit card handled everything and I have my money back for the dress. The problem is I still have the dress. I do not know my legal obligation regarding the dress. The store owner has never tried to contact me. Can I sell the dress or do I need to find her because currently she has moved her business and closed shop. Thank you for your help.

Re: The Wrong Dress
if you can find her i would call and ask her what to do. she has the legal right to have the dress back but my guess is that if she closed her shop she either doesnt want it or forgot and doesnt care.
