Legal Question in Consumer Law in California
Yacht Brokers
We made an offer on a sailboat 5-17, gave a deposit of 3K. Broker said he had received a signed acceptance. Now there are two buyers with two different brokers that claim they have the exclusive.

Re: Yacht Brokers
This is a contract issue with the seller, broker, you and the 3P buyer. Our CA attorney can advise you if you wish.
Re: Yacht Brokers
First, ask for a copy of both acceptances. If yours was accepted first, you have a contract. You may need to sue to enforce it.
If yours was accepted second, you may be able to sue the seller for attempting to sell something to which he had already entered into a contract to sell.
If they are dated the same date and you can't tell which one came first, sue the seller and the other buyer and let a court decide.
Good luck. You may want to consider getting your deposit back and dealing with a more reputable seller.
