Legal Question in Consumer Law in California
Had a yearly subscription with XM Satellite Radio. No longer desired to use it, so let the subscription expire and did not renew. They sent a bill for another year and I called to say I no longer wanted to use their service. They have sent me a bill for days after the expiration date. There was no fee to close account, but they have sent this bill. Am I liable to pay for use or service after the expiration date?

You have to read your contract about renewals. If the charge is truly not valid, then consider disputing it in writing by certified mail, return receipt requested. If they fail or refuse to fix it, then consider hiring an attorney a contingency fee basis to sue them.
If they fail to send you a corrective letter in 15 days, then you might have a good lawsuit.
