Ability to terminate/assume Auto Lease

Last year, I cosigned with my then girlfriend, who I was engaged to, on a five year lease on a car. We have since split, and she now lives 30 miles away and I have not diven the vehicle since December, nor care to. I would like to get out of my part of the lease so I may purchase my own car and quit paying for her to soley use the car I originally signed-off on. She desires to assume the lease. If the assumption fails, what are my options? Thanks for your help.
