I obtained a free copy of my credit reoport how long does negative information stay on a counsumers credit file? My creditors removed negative information eariler is that legal?

Negative information can stay on for 7 years (10 for a bankruptcy).

If they have removed the information from your credit report early, consider yourself to be lucky.
