acknowledgement of satifaction of judgement
the plaintiff won the case and got a judgment of 279.00 dollers and put a lien on my home he was paid through a refinance but when he went to file a acknowledgment of satisaction of judegment he also need to file a satisfaction of judgement with the secretary of state and be notorized he did not do that and further more he is still trying to collect money from me through another refinance this is the 5th time no my refi is held up because he sent another demand for 1980.52 and he already got 569.00 in 2003 for the judgement my question is what can i do to make him file the paper work for the relese. he is causeing me great financial harm with my creditors not being able to refi.thank you ann nicholas

If you show the prospective lender and title insurance company your canceled check that satisfied the judgment, they could certainly pay around that. Also, you can obtain a certified copy of the acknowledgment of satisfaction of judgment from the county recorder and file it with the secretary of state.
