Adult Son running up hospital bills

My adult brother lives with my mom (age 84). My brother is running up significant debt undergoing treatment for cancer. He has no assets and no income. He has been living in her house all of his life. Title to the house is in her name.

Does she have any legal responsiblity for his debt?

She would not have any responsibility for it unless she agreed to pay it.
