Do you say "blah blah blah," "right," and "okay" a lot? What do you mean by "I put collections cause it sound right?" Ask your question again and kindly activate your spelling, punctuation and grammar skills this time.
Unless your friend gave him a lien on the trucks and it was recorded with the DMV, or the "other guy" took your friend to court and got a judgment and a judgment lien on the trucks, he has no right to them as collateral. His word is enough that he payed for the rehab, but whether he paid or not, no one can get collateral for a loan unless the borrower agrees and they complete the proper paper work and filings, or the lender gets a court order.
