Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in California

Answer Forms to reply

Can you please tell me what forms I need to file a response notice for a civil suit that someone has against me. The amount they are saying I owe them is approx. $11,500. They have file two forms on 1) Request for Admission 2) Form Interrogations General. My question is what forms do I file to reply.

Re: Answer Forms to reply

It might be useful to consult with an attorney with this case. There are some low-cost attorneys for collection matters. I've been relatively successful in defending against old debt, particularly if the debt has been assigned to a collection agency.

In answer to your question, you would have to file a responsive pleading, usually an Answer: http://www.courtinfo.ca.gov/forms/fillable/982135.pdf . You might alternatively file a demurrer and/or motion to strike, but these are customized pleadings that have to be written. Good luck.
