No! You must move the court for a confirmation of the award and a judgment based thereon. Review California Code of Civil Procedure Section 1285 et sec.

Most Arbitration Awards are binding. Some are non-binding. For binding Awards, a Motion has to be made at court to confirm the Award. Please contact me for free consultation.

Thanks for your posting. Normally, an arbitration award must be filed with the court as part of a motion. Some arbitration agreements also give the parties a right to "do novo" an arbitration agreement within a certain period of time.
