Asset Capital Management Group

Out of the blue I received a telephone call from a process server stating they wanted to serve me legal papers for a long past due credit card balance. The company that was ready to take me to court was ACM (Asset Capital Management Group out of Santa Ana, California. Does anyone know anything about ACM?

The debt may be beyond the statute of limitations. What is the year of the debt? Have you received any correspondence from a collection agency.

If more than 4 years past due, your lawyer can beat the case, but don't pay or promise to pay anything or you'll reset the time limit. Do not speak to the collection agency, write a certified letter demanding validation of the debt. Google FDCPA and read creditboards.com .
