Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in California

is an atm card/credit card considered the same thing? I paid a now-defunct time share company by atm, so can I go after the bank since the atm card could also be used as a credit card?

Why would the bank be responsible for the time-share company's demise? I guess I don't follow your question.
