Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in California
An attorney has a $7,000 judgement against me and wants to charge me 10% interest. I responded that I would agree on 3% and he responded by serving me with papers to appear in court. How much interest do I have to pay? Thank you.

The legal rate of interest on judgments is 10% per hear.

You need to pay 10% per annum (not compounded). That is the California legal rate on judgments unless you can settle it for less.
